The Corps of Engineers says the reservoirs on the Missouri River are ready to handle flood run off this spring and summer.
Senior Hydraulic Engineer Joel Knofczynski says all the flood storage is available..
Knofczynski says the big reservoirs are all at or near their targets…
He says they are planning on a normal navigation season below Sioux City…..
Knofczynski says the dams on the river produced over twelve billion kilowatt hours of electricity last year. They are projected to produced just under ten billion kilowatt hours this year, just above the long-term average.
