Officials from the Omaha Office of the Corps of Engineers have been on a weeklong tour of the Missouri River reservoir system from Montana to South Dakota.

Kevin Grode, Reservoir Team Lead in the Water Management Office, says it will be a big year for run off in the basin…..

Grode says there will be high water below all the dams into the fall…..

Normally the Corps must balance a number of competing interests as they operate the system. Grode says there is one focus this year……

Grode says the Ft Peck reservoir in Montana has about fifteen feet of excess water to move downstream. He says that drops about an inch a day.
