The Corps of Engineers Missouri River Basin Water Management Division will hold five public meetings this week to update stakeholders on the planned operation of the Missouri River Mainstem Reservoir System.

The public meetings will include a presentation from the Corps regarding current basin conditions and plans for operating the reservoir system in 2017, followed by a question and answer session. Gaskill says the system is ready for any possible flooding situation….
Gaskill says they will also provide updates on the partners they work with in monitoring the river….
Meetings start Tuesday in Smithville Missouri and Council Bluffs Iowa, Wednesday in Ft Peck Montana and Bismarck North Dakota, and Thursday in Pierre South Dakota.
