Coronavirus Infections Continue, Models Not Changing

At one point, the South Dakota Department of Health was projecting up to one hundred thirty thousand people in the state would be infected with the coronavirus and that would push hospital use to a critical level.

State Epidemiologist Dr Josh Clayton says that was based on a “worst case” model…

Clayton says they now expect to see more localized surges in infections…

Clayton says they don’t plan to update the infection modeling….

The state has had just under six thousand infections so far, with seventy-five deaths.
