Growth Energy Co Chair, General Wesley Clark will give the keynote address at the South Dakota Corn Grower’s Annual meeting in Sioux Falls Saturday night. He says energy independence will be the focus of his talk.

He says the EPA made a huge mistake last year by not putting the RFS volumes at the statutory levels.

Clark says it’s up to Congress and the Administration not to tamper with the RFS law but to allow it go forward as it was intended to.

He says we haven’t seen the limit yet with corn ethanol because every year farmers get more efficient growing corn and converting that into ethanol. Clark says that’s now capped at 15 billion gallons and where it goes from there is yet to be decided.
