The USMCA trade agreement went into effect last week. And Corn Grower Association leaders are hailing the deal. Nebraska Corn Grower’s Association President Dan Nerud says the pact is good for all sectors of U.S. agriculture.
South Dakota Corn Grower’s President Doug Noem says having the deal reached with two important trading partners like Mexico and Canada is very beneficial for the U.S. corn industry and puts in force a stable trading situation for all three countries.
Nerud says USMCA will help the U.S. in shipping ethanol to Mexico and working with them as they develop their own renewable fuels industry.
The USMCA is the remake of the original North American Free Trade Agreement reached in the 1990s.
