Several agricultural groups including NCGA, ASA and the American Farm Bureau will be holding a rally on Thursday to push Congress to ratify the USMCA trade agreement. Minnesota Corn Grower’s Association President Brian Thalmann says having a unified voice on the issue is critical for agriculture to get their message across of the importance of that deal.

He says having USMCA approved is very important for Minnesota’s corn growers.

Thalmann says it’s encouraging that House Ag Leaders Collin Peterson and Mike Conaway are expected to attend the rally. He says getting support from both Democrats and Republicans on the pact is key to getting it approved.

The rally is set to get underway 9:30 am eastern time, 8:30 central on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on Thursday.
