Corn Executive Pleased Senator On Environment Committee

Senator elect Mike Rounds has been named to the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. South Dakota Corn Grower’s Executive Director Lisa Richardson says that bodes well for the Renewable Fuel Standard and she’s pleased the former Governor has a seat on that panel.
Richardson also says Senator elect Rounds has backed ethanol in the past and while he’ll be helpful to their industry serving on that committee, the RFS targets are up to President Obama and the EPA.
Richardson says just a minor increase in market access would be a major benefit for corn growers.
Renewable fuels now have two champions on the Environment and Public Works Committee in Senator elect Mike Rounds and Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer.
