South Dakota Corn Utilization Council President Ryan Wagner was elected this week to the U.S. Grains Council’s Board of Directors. He says his priority is helping producers gain more markets and demand for their commodities.

He says another major priority is making sure there’s solid funding put in the new farm bill for the Market Access and Foreign Market Development programs.

Wagner says a new farm bill must be passed in order to ensure the MAP and FMD programs are funded.

Wagner says it’s critical export programs are promoted and funded as the U.S. can outdo their competitors for global markets if given the proper tools.
