This week is National Farm Safety and Health Week and with farmers out harvesting, often times power lines and large farm equipment don’t mix. Sioux Valley Energy Cooperative Safety Coordinator Terry Ebright says in the recent past there have been several accidents involving power lines and farm equipment.
Ebright says be extra careful when going in and out of the fields.
Ebright says if your equipment gets caught in a power line, make sure you stay in the tractor cab and call 9-1-1 unless the equipment is on fire and you have to get out immediately.
