Ballots go out next Wednesday to North Central and South Dakota Wheat Grower’s cooperative members regarding possible unification of those co-ops. Results will be released at the June 18 meeting of those cooperatives. North Central General Manager Mike Nickolas says there are several reasons both board’s are recommending unification be approved.
Nickolas says if the vote is approved, the new Cooperative called Centra Gro will pay back patronage to the members.
Nickolas says the primary concern of both North Central and South Dakota Wheat Grower’s board’s is will there be competition with the new COOP, and he says the answer is Yes there will be.
A series of seventeen informational meetings will be held regarding the unification starting June 1.
