Consumer confidence diverged in Nebraska during the latest monthly survey.
University of Nebraska Bureau of Business Research Director Eric Thompson says while business confidence rose in August, consumer confidence fell.
Thompson says that while businesses are also concerned about rising costs..they have another major worry.
Thompson says that part of the reason why there is a stronger more confident business sector than household sector is because household incomes have not grown quickly in the last years and decades whereas business expansion has been more solid.
