While the major concrete work on a new grain loading facility at Napa Junction, northwest of Yankton is done, completion of the entire project will take a few more weeks.
Matt Winsand, manager of Dakota Plains, says they have the big pieces done….
Six large concrete tubes were poured in a seven day, 24 – 7 operation late last month. Those will be the storage units for the unit train loading facility.
Winsand says they continue to be ahead of schedule…..
The final big project will be building the circle track for the grain trains. Winsand says that will happen in the spring….
Winsand says they have about three hundred thousand bushels of corn on the ground now, which will be shipped out by truck in the next month.
