A Nebraska Congressman has returned from NAFTA negotiations in Montreal, stating it appears anxiety over the trade agreement has eased…as least somewhat.

Congressman Adrian Smith served on a Congressional delegation meeting with negotiators, government officials, and business leaders.

Smith says it appears the Canadian and Mexican delegates aren’t as worried as before.

Smith says it appears the Mexican auto industry has become a sticking point with worries about low wages and a poor environmental record

Smith says his constant theme has been that NAFTA has been very good for Nebraska agriculture.
