Iowa 4th District Congressman Randy Feenstra spoke at the U-S House Agriculture Committee hearing Wednesday morning about the importance of having transparency and true price discovery with cattle marketing.  Feenstra is a member of the House Agriculture Committee, and a co-sponsor of the companion bill introduced in the U-S Senate by Senators Fischer and Grassley.  Feenstra says the system is fixed in favor of meat packers, and against cattle producers.  Feenstra says meat packers that control cattle feedlots can easily manipulate markets to their favor, and against cattle producers.
