The Senate voted early Friday morning to approve the one point three trillion-dollar, omnibus spending bill, which avoids another government shutdown.

South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds, who has been critical of the process, voted for the bill, saying it has a substantial boost in military spending…..

Rounds says there is also policy changes including a roll back of the FARM Act, dealing with large scale pollution…….

Rounds says there is also money for continued research at the deep underground lab in the former Homestake mine near Lead……

Rounds says the bill also provides a fix to section 199A of the tax code to protect producers and grain operators from unintended consequences of the recently-enacted tax reform law.
