When Congress returns from the August recess after Labor Day, they will have only a few days to work through the budget and keep the government funded into the new fiscal year, which starts on October first.
South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds says republicans have twelve spending bills ready to move out of committee.

Rounds says there will again be talk of a government shutdown.

Rounds says the bills should at least advance to the floor of the Senate for debate.

The House has already adjourned for the break, the Senate will follow later this week.
