When Congress returns to session next month, there will be an opportunity to pass tax extenders measures. Nebraska Farm Bureau’s National Affairs Coordinator, Jordan Dux sees that happening earlier than it has in past years, when lawmakers waited until the end of the year.
Dux says there’s also a chance for Congress to pass permanent tax extenders bills rather than piece-mealing it ever year.
He says besides Section 179 and the biofuels credits, passing a bonus depreciation is also important.
Dux says providing those tax incentives and freeing up capital, it helps the overall rural economy.
