A bill is back before Congress that would help correct problems with dropped calls to and from rural telecom providers.
Carrie Johnson, Director of Governmental Affairs with SDN Communications, says it has been a long, frustrating problem….
Johnson says the problem comes when companies in the middle of a call don’t follow through. She says those companies can be hard to track…..
Johnson says the bill, which would create a registry of third party providers, would help pinpoint the problems…..
Problems with dropped calls include busy signals, disconnections and no connections. The bill has already been approved in the House, and is waiting action in the Senate.
