Members of Congress approved a border security compromise that avoids another government shutdown.
South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson says it was the best they could do under the circumstances….
Johnson says he was not happy with the process and the size of the bill…
The bill has about one point four billion dollars for border barriers, far below the almost six billion dollars President Trump had wanted. So the President has said he will declare a national emergency to allow him to move funding to the border.
Johnson says he doesn’t like that kind of reaction..
The Senate passed the bill on an 83 to 16 vote, followed by a vote of 300 to 128 in the House.
