Scott Pruitt, the nominee to head up the Environmental Protection Agency under the Trump administration, goes before the Senate today in his confirmation hearing. Renewable Fuels Association President and CEO Bob Dinneen says he expects Pruitt to follow Trump’s lead in supporting renewable fuels and the RFS.
He says the recent meeting Pruitt had with farm state senators should help the confirmation process, as well as support from other lawmakers who see the value of renewable fuels.
Dinneen is optimistic about President elect Donald Trump and his team and the opportunity for renewable fuels to keep growing.
Dinneen thinks it’s helpful to have a leader in the White House who brings a business-like approach to renewable fuels, rather than one that’s focused on government control.
