Concordia University-Nebraska’s Jake Knabel has been selected as the 2014-15 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Sports Information Director of the Year.

The award is voted on by the league’s 11 sports information directors. He will be honored at the 2015 GPAC Football Media day on Thursday, August 6 in South Sioux City at the Marina Inn.

“Jake’s efforts have constantly put Concordia on the front page of local and regional sports pages,” said Concordia University President Brian L. Friedrich. “He does the work of at least two if not three people, and he does so willingly, graciously and joyfully. I am deeply thankful for all he does at Concordia.” This is the inaugural year of the GPAC Sports Information Director of the Year award.
