The National Park Service held an open house in Vermillion Wednesday night to get public input on their proposed management plan for Goat Island.
That is an eight-hundred-acre island in the Missouri River near Vermillion that was added to the park system in 2016
Missouri National Recreational River Superintendent Rick Clark says they want to hear what the public wants to do with the island..
Clark says their plan now is just a starting point….
Clark says they will come up with a balanced management plan…
The plan would help with any development or public access to the island.
