Cold Weather Delays Cranes

Every year the Sandhill Cranes make a stop in central Nebraska on their migration north. Nebraska Game and Parks Commission spokesman Greg Wagner says the Sandhill Cranes do not like cold weather and their migration is on hold until it warms up.

People from around the world flock to central Nebraska each spring to see the Sandhill Cranes. Wagner says that area of the state can expect a late tourist season this year.

[NEWS 32] :06 A Wagner; “and I think Easter.”

Wagner says cranes do not like the bitter cold and are staying in warmer climates.
