Records were released relating to the case solving the disappearance of Pam Johnson and Cheryl Miller of Vermillion over forty years ago.  South Dakota Attorney General, Marty Jackley, said the records explain the reasoning for the searches conducted on the Lykken farm during the investigation in 2004…

 

The two girls disappeared in May of 1971. The car with their bodies inside was discovered in Brule Creek in Union County last September.

 

Jackley said releasing the records will help the families affected…

 

The case records were unsealed and released within ten days in order to close the case.
