A coalition made up of several Agricultural groups sent a letter to Congressional leaders asking them to pass an infrastructure bill that focuses on American Agriculture and Supply Chains. One of those groups is the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives. Their President and CEO Chuck Conner says that infrastructure system must work effectively in order to be able to feed our people.

He says the infrastructure system in the United States needs significant upgrading.

Conner says in order for the U.S. to remain competitive with export markets, a solid infrastructure bill must be approved.

Conner says in their letter the coalition noted that investing in American Agriculture and infrastructure will protect and create jobs. In 2019, 22.1 million full and part time jobs in the U.S. were dependent on the agricultural and food sectors.
