A coalition of agricultural groups is pushing House and Senate leadership to bring up and approve tax extenders, including the biodiesel tax credit. National Biodiesel Board Director Greg Anderson, a Nebraska farmer says while there appears to be a lot of support for passing the extenders, the coalition is making their request to get this done soon.
He says restoring the biodiesel tax credit that’s been in limbo for nearly two years is critical for the industry to meet the biodiesel demand.
Anderson says Congress needs to put other business aside and make approving the tax incentives a priority before the end of the year.
The biodiesel tax credit was in place from 2005 to 2017.
