The National Farmers Union has joined a coalition of consumer and insurance groups asking for Congress to hold a hearing on the Right to Repair issue. NFU President Rob Larew says the Right to Repair problem has been seen mostly in agriculture where farmers want the ability to make quick repairs to their machinery.
He says Right to Repair has now expanded to other areas where it also is becoming a difficult issue.
Larew says their Coalition has sent a letter to leaders in Congress requesting a hearing on Right to Repair.
Larew says the Right to Repair issue has surfaced in 27 states where various pieces of legislation have been debated.
