South Dakota legislative leaders are concerned about the number of so called “vehicle bills” that are alive in this year’s session.
House Majority Leader Lee Qualm of Platte says he wants them cleaned up….
Vehicle bills have a number, and usually a generic title but little else. They are often amended late in the session for a specific purpose. There were almost fifty of them alive late last week.
Qualm says he wants committee chairmen to take care of those orphan bills…
The legislature is past the halfway point of the forty day session.
