Clean up is underway in north east Nebraska and north west Iowa following strong storms that moved through late yesterday afternoon. While no tornadoes have been confirmed, winds of eighty to ninety miles per hour caused massive tree and power line damage.
Dakota City Nebraska Mayor Jerry Yecevich says they are still assessing all the damage…………

Yecevich says the wind blew trees and other small objects around……….

He says there were two people with minor injuries treated after the storm last evening.
Yecevich says they are trying to coordinate all the volunteers coming in to help………

Interstate 29 across the border in Iowa was closed for a time last night after semis were blown over on the highway. The town of Sergeant Bluff also took the brunt of the high winds.
