City of Yankton Sees a Sales Tax Rebound

A jump in sales taxes in May helped the City of Yankton back to a positive revenue trend for the year.

Sales taxes were up two point eight nine percent for the month. Dave Mingo, Community and Economic Development Director, says they hope that direction continues…..

Mingo says activities normally pick up in the summer months…..

The city has now seen year to date sales taxes tick up zero point three three percent.

The city commission meets tonight (Monday) 7PM at the R-TEC building.
