Earlier this month, the City of Yankton got a report from the state Department of Revenue that sales tax collections for the month of February rose just under four percent. After a double check, it was found that sales taxes were actually down about two point two percent.

City Manager Amy Nelson says they are starting to be concerned with the trend……

Nelson says revenues are about where they were last year at this time….

Nelson says they have a range of options to make budget adjustments…..

Nelson says she will update the City Commission at their Monday meeting. That is 7PM at the R-TEC building.
