City of Yankton Lands Millions in Grants & Loans

The City of Yankton will receive multi-millions of dollars in grants and low interest loans for several water and wastewater related projects.

City Manager Amy Leon says they got all they had applied for….

Leon says they will also get over fifteen million dollars in low interest loans for related pipeline projects….

It was all part of the one point one billion dollars in grants and loans distributed by the Department of Ag and Natural Resources.

Leon says they can now step up the design and planning for the projects….

The city is planning to spend more than forty million dollars on an extensive upgrade of the wastewater treatment plan.
