The Yankton City Commission approved a proposal from the Business Improvement District to donate one point eight million dollars to Mount Marty College for construction of their new field house.
City Manager Amy Nelson says the payments will stretch out over about fifteen years……
Mount Marty College Athletic Director Chris Kassin says the field house is projected to cost about eleven and a half million dollars……
BID Board Chairman Dan Specht says this is why the hotel and motel tax was implemented……
Construction on the field house may start early next year.
