The City of Yankton has begun the formal review process with the Federal Emergency Management Agency following the damages from storms and flooding in March.

Damage estimates after the flooding ranged up to eighteen million dollars, mostly in and along Marne Creek. Over three inches of rain fell on frozen ground in less than twenty-four hours on March 12th and 13th.
