City Moves to Help Yankton Mall

The Yankton City Commission set a hearing for next month to decide on a special assessment for the Yankton Mall.

City Development Director Dave Mingo says the mall owners want to make improvements……

Mingo says state law allows special assessments to be set on private developments………

Mingo says the assessment affects only the mall property………

Mingo says the assessment would raise about one point five million dollars.

The commission will hold a public hearing on the proposal at their August tenth meeting.
