Authorities are continuing to investigate a recent case of vandalism at a church in Fort Thompson. A break-in was reported at Cunkicaske Presbyterian Church where officials found vandals had struck. A reward was offered for information to find the culprits in the crime. Tribal Chairman Brandon Sazue says copper wiring and pipes were stolen from the church and damage was also reported at a nearby hall. He says the tribe takes crimes like this very seriously….

Sazue says copper tubing was even taken from a propane tank.

Sazue says despite the tragic crime, he is seeing some good from the incident…

Sazue believes efforts by the community, social media and the offering of a reward will likely help solve the crime at the church.
