The CHS agribusiness cooperative is expanding soybean refinery capacity at its Mankato, Minnesota soybean processing plant. CHS Vice President of Operations and Global Grain and Processing Tom Malecha says the $60 million Mankato expansion is part two of their upgrades joining their first expansion in Fairmont, Minnesota.

He says all of the soybean oil will be consumed domestically.

Malecha says they’re putting in state of the art equipment at their Mankato plant that will make them much more efficient.

Malecha says the expansion in Mankato will benefit the area farmers that supply their plant.
