Many Nebraskans will be selecting the symbol of the season very soon – the family Christmas tree. Nebraska Forest Service’s John Duplissis is a rural forester, University of Nebraska – Lincoln Extension and says there is no right or wrong tree to select. He says fir trees have sturdy branches and shorter needles compared to the white pine that is very full. He says it may come down to price….
Duplissis says since trees are only bought once a year it is easy to forget how to care for them…
He says tree choice comes down to personal preference.
