Chlamydia Cases Reach New High in Minnesota

The number of chlamydia cases in Minnesota has reached a new high and is the number one reported infectious disease. Krissie Guerard is with the Minnesota Department of Health and says the majority of cases reported last year occurred in teens and young adults ages 15-to-24

 

There were 22,675 cases reported in 2016, a seven-percent increase over 2015.  At least four cases of chlamydia were reported in every county in Minnesota.
