China continues to be a top importer of U.S. dried distiller’s grains and sorghum despite the current uncertainties in the Chinese economy. U.S. Grains Council Chairman Alan Tiemann says his group is working to supply China’s needs despite currency issues and a new registration system they’ve implemented for grain importers.
He says the Grains Council has had great success in shipping DDG’s to export markets and is hoping to build on that.
Tiemann says the goal of the Council is to continue to work with Chinese customers and build on their existing relationships.
China is now the top U.S. export market for both DDGs and sorghum.
