It appears as if China could be a very promising market for U.S. dairy exports with their government lifting the nation’s one child cap. That’s because China is the world’s largest consumer of dried milk powders used in infant formula. South Dakota Dairy Producers Association President Marv Post is excited about the possibility of more openings in that market.
Post says the U.S. dairy industry is in a great position to supply China’s needs.
He says exports are very important for America’s dairy producers competing in a world market.
China makes ups nearly half of the world’s imports of whole milk powder.
