China has initiated an anti-dumping investigation over United States sorghum. National Sorghum Producers CEO Tim Lust says his organization is taking the necessary steps to respond.

The U.S. Grains Council has experience with these types of investigations, including recent cases with China regarding DDGs, and an anti-dumping investigation by Peru on ethanol. Grains Council President Tom Sleight says it’s critical that the U.S. cooperate with the investigation.

Sleight also says farmers need to be aware of the many rumors that surface during these investigations.

Lust says the National Sorghum Producers organization will keep their producers updated as the process moves forward.
