Renewable Fuel Association officials say China remains an unpredictable market, despite record dried distillers grains exports of nearly a million metric tons in June. RFA Senior Vice President, Geoff Cooper says China’s purchasing schedule is erratic.

Cooper says access to China’s market varies, no matter what commodity you’re talking about.

He says much of what China will take in depends on what they have on hand domestically .

China’s year to date purchases of distillers grains from the U.S. are up 11 percent from a year ago, leading to the new record purchase in June.
