Child Welfare Agencies Face Challenges Retaining Workers

Child welfare agencies have a tougher time than most organizations in attracting and retaining good workers.
A 15-million-dollar federal grant project led by University of Nebraska-Lincoln researchers will study the issue over the next five years.
Michelle Graef with the UNL Center on Children, Families and the Law says improving quality is the goal.

Graef says there has not been a lot of research on this particular topic.

Graef says they will examine rural and urban areas at up to ten different agencies over the next five years.
