Electric powered cars and trucks will become more numerous on roads and highways over the next few years.
The South Dakota House Transportation Committee got an update from Dave Huft, a technology specialist with the state Department of Transportation. He says legislators will soon have to figure out how to have electric vehicles pay their fair share…

Huft says the State of Utah passed a law that tracks miles of electric vehicles..

Huft says technology is also developing the so called “connected cars”…..

The committee took no action and there are no bills yet introduced dealing with electric vehicles.
