A 14 year old Yankton juvenile was taken into custody and is facing charges of first and second degree manslaughter in connection with the shooting death of another 14 year male on Saturday.
In a release, Yankton County Sheriff Jim Vlahakis says the shooting took place Saturday afternoon at a residence on East Side Drive in Yankton.
The 14 year old arrested has been placed in juvenile detention, pending his appearance in juvenile court. The state Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting in the case.
