Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that complaints have been filed charging three individuals for their roles in the financial misconduct case surrounding the GEAR UP Program.
Jackley says 58 year old Daniel Mark Guericke of White Lake, was charged with 2 counts of falsification of evidence, and 4 counts of conspiracy to offer forged or fraudulent evidence, both felonies. Guericke was manager of the Mid Central Educational Cooperative in Platte.
43 year old Stephanie A. Hubers of Geddes, was charged with 1 count of grand theft, 2 counts of grand theft by deception, and 3 alternative counts of receiving stolen property, also all felonies.
42 year old Stacy Lee Phelps of Rapid City was charged with 2 counts of falsification of evidence, and 2 counts of conspiracy to offer forged or fraudulent evidence, also felonies.
Jackley made the charges public at a news conference in Platte.
Jackley says he wanted to come back to Platte to give the community the new information…..
Jackley says all the defendants turned themselves in voluntarily….
Jackley says the case will now move through the criminal system….
Jackley says the defendants have cooperated and have been released by the Court on bond conditions.
