The Retirement Laws Committee of the South Dakota Legislature voted this week to begin the process of changing some of the rules of the state retirement system.

Hunhoff says they will pass on some recommendations to the full legislature…
There was also a recommendation that Retirement System Administrator Rob Wylie get an additional two percent raise on top of the two percent that all state employees received.
That failed because Hunhoff opposed it…
Other committee members said they may take that issue up again at a later meeting with more members present. Only six of the ten members of the committee were present at this week’s meeting.
