Reforms to the Affordable Care Act in Washington may send ripples down to the states and Medicaid.
As the ACA is repealed, Medicaid funding may change to block grants to the states.

Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says there are pros and cons in going to block grants….

Hunhoff, Vice-Chair of the Appropriations Committee, says block grant funding may see smaller increases year to year…..

Hunhoff says that change in funding may be a problem for many nursing homes, that depend on Medicaid for a majority of their patients…..

Hunhoff is concerned that they may not know how the funding will change before the end of the legislative session.
